How to make Christmas Gingerbread Man

Gingerbread is connected to Christmas. On that day Santa make some cookies made out of gingerbread and cut them into a shape of a man. Gingerbread man is also relating with popular story on Christmas as this remind the making of cookies for santa. As you know cookies is one of the special items of Christmas and gingerbread men cookies are the favorite of santa.

Today we are going to make gingerbread man but this will not baked, basically we are going to make its shape in Photoshop. Gingerbread man cookie shape making you will learn in very easy way. Follow these steps, make gingerbread and share with your network friends.

Step 1:

Create new documents with following settings

• Size of 600 x 350 pixels


• Resolution 72


• Color mode RGB

Step 2:

Draw a circle for face in the center of the document. Dimensions of circles are here 135 x 135 pixels. You can use according to your requirement.

Step 3:

Now draw a rounded rectangle with 40 pixels radius and place under the circle. This rectangle will use for the arms.

Step 4:

Create an oval to make the body area and horizontally center with both shapes.

Step 5:

Now make duplicate the rounded rectangle which we made in Step 3. And using direct selection tool reduce the width of new object and place at the right side.

Step 6:

Create a copy of rounded rectangle of Step 5 and move that left side.

Step 7:

Open layer window and select all the shape layers and then right click on select Convert to Smart Object. Then go in Layer menu a Layer style a Color Overlay and apply this color value there "c69439".

Step 8:

Apply more layer styles using following screenshots

you will get this shape after apply above styles

Step 9:

Draw 2 circles for eyes with white color and apply drop shadow. Change following settings in drop shadow window.

• Uncheck "Use Global Light"


• Angle 90 Degree


• Distance 2px

Step 10:

Make lips using small circle and apply "Direct Selection Tool" on upper anchor and move down that for make lips. Fill color red color (ac0101) in lips and give drop shadow with these values.

• Uncheck "Use Global Light"


• Angle 90 Degree


• Distance 3px

Step 11:

Draw 2 white rectangles and apply drop shadow with following values.

• Uncheck "Use Global Light"


• Angle 90 Degree


• Distance 3px

Then move one at right side and second at left side.

Step 12:

Duplicate both rectangles and move to downward and rotate little bit.

Step 13:

Draw three circles horizontally in the center of body and apply following layer styles in all circles.

Final:

This is the final result. You can apply different backgrounds
