Displacement is a greatly ignored method in 3d modeling. Most of beginners to the extensive world of 3D graphics try to model extremely detail geometry, either with standard poly-modeling methods. Usually, in a sculpting software package, first of all every artist have required model the object, and then manually sculpt enough detail into the object to make it believable.
